Iolanthe is a comic opera with music by Arthur Sullivan and libretto by W. S. Gilbert. It is one of the Savoy operas and is the seventh of fourteen operatic collaborations by Gilbert and Sullivan.

In the opera, the fairy Iolanthe has been banished from fairyland because she married a mortal; this is forbidden by fairy law. Her son, Strephon, is an Arcadian shepherd who wants to marry Phyllis, a Ward of Chancery. All the members of the House of Peers also want to marry Phyllis. When Phyllis sees Strephon hugging a young woman (not knowing that it is his mother – immortal fairies all appear young), she assumes the worst and sets off a climactic confrontation between the peers and the fairies.

The opera satirizes many aspects of British government, law and society. The confrontation between the fairies and the peers is a version of one of Gilbert's favorite themes: a tranquil civilization of women is disrupted by a male-dominated world through the discovery of mortal love.

Directed by Joe Santaniello and choreographed by Jessica Rae Foulds. Recommended for strong singers!

When young Jonas’ father leaves his mill and wagon to his greedy sister and goofy brother, young Jonas is left with 5 gold pieces and a cat. It turns out that Jonas actually got the better deal when wily Puss succeeds in tricking an evil Sorceress into turning herself into a mouse (easily caught by the cat!) thereby forfeiting her castle and lands to the inept Jonas who then snares the neighboring Princess as his bride!

Take a journey to the mountains of fairy-tale Norway, where beautiful Forest Trolls and frightening Mountain Trolls rule.

The humans living in the villages and cities have little contact with these creatures and have been wantonly cutting down trees for firewood without warning the trolls who live among the branches, thereby inadvertently killing them. War is declared and humans are not allowed to enter the forests. In a short time all trees outside the forests have been cut down and the ruling Queen becomes depressed at her inability to fight the war and to warm her people. She longs for something “green and alive” and her loyal prime minister, handsome son and troll-faced daughter hold a contest to cheer her up—the prize being marriage to the prince or princess.

A widow who lives on the edge of the forest has 3 young daughters. They have raised a tree from a pinecone and the mother returns to the Queen to offer it. As it is too dangerous to travel with the tree, the Prince, Minister and Princess go home with her only to find the tree stolen by their resident House Troll and the 3 girls missing. All are kidnapped and brought to the 5-headed Mountain Troll King for justice.

Action, drama, comedy, beautiful music and lots of parts combine in this classic Crystal Theatre musical.

Directed by author/Crystal Theatre Artistic director Cheryl Kemeny and Abigail Gaines, assisted by Debra Poruban and Michael Ferrigno.

Music by Michael Gore | Lyrics by Dean Pitchford | Book by Lawrence D. Cohen | Based on the novel by Stephen King

Carrie White is a misfit. At school, she's an outcast who's bullied by the popular crowd, and virtually invisible to everyone else. At home, she's at the mercy of her loving but cruelly over-protective mother. But Carrie's just discovered she's got a special power, and if pushed too far, she's not afraid to use it…

Based on Stephen King's bestselling novel, the musical of Carrie  hasn't been seen since its legendary 1988 Broadway production.  Now, the show's original authors have joined with director Stafford Arima (Altar Boyz) and MCC Theater for a newly reworked and fully re-imagined vision of this gripping tale. Set today, in the small town of Chamberlain, Maine,  Carrie  features a book by Lawrence D. Cohen (screenwriter of the classic film), music by Academy Award winner Michael Gore (Fame,  Terms of Endearment), and lyrics by Academy Award winner Dean Pitchford (Fame,  Footloose).

Directed and choreographed by Stacey Curti, musical direction by Cheryl Kemeny.
